In the second quarter of 2025, the top cryptocurrency apps in Egypt displayed varied performance trends on a unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw its weekly downloads start at 31K, dropping to a low of 7.8K in late April, before recovering to around 16.5K by early June. The app maintained a substantial number of weekly active users, peaking at approximately 588K at the beginning of the quarter, with fluctuations leading to 435K by the end of June.

MEXC: Buy Bitcoin BTC & Crypto experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 2.2K and rising sharply to 13.6K by the end of June. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 5K and reaching nearly 13K by the quarter's close.

Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto downloads began at 7.1K, dipped slightly in April, and then rose again to 7.7K by mid-June, before ending the quarter at 4.8K. Active users increased from 62K to a peak of 80.7K in late April, maintaining around 75K towards the end of the quarter.

OKX: Buy Bitcoin BTC & Crypto started the quarter with 6.2K downloads, which declined to 3.2K by June's end. Active user numbers followed a similar downward trend, from 112K at the start of April to 83K by the end of June.

Sweat Wallet: Crypto & Rewards recorded a moderate increase in downloads, starting at 3.6K and peaking at 4.8K in early June, before closing the quarter at 3.8K. The app’s active users peaked at 87K in mid-April and gradually decreased to 50K by the end of the period.
